Synopsis
During the Lavender Scare of 1950s Washington, the idealistic young journalist Timothy Laughlin falls in love with the charismatic State Department official Hawkins Fuller. Their secret affair unfolds against Senator McCarthy's persecution of homosexuals in government, forcing both men to choose between love and survival. Fuller's pragmatic self-preservation collides with Timothy's romantic devotion, with devastating consequences.
