Synopsis
On Christmas Eve 1914, French, German, and Scottish soldiers in the trenches of World War I lay down their weapons for an unofficial ceasefire. Through shared carols, football, and the exchange of photos and gifts, enemies briefly become human to one another. When dawn comes and orders arrive to resume fighting, the soldiers must return to killing the men they have just embraced.
