Sleeping Beauty by David Mcallister, After Marius Petipa, Music by Tchaikovsky

Princess Aurora is cursed at her christening by the evil fairy Carabosse to prick her finger on a spindle and die. The Lilac Fairy softens the curse to a hundred years of sleep, and when Aurora inevitably falls victim, the entire court slumbers with her. A century later, Prince Désiré discovers the enchanted palace, wakes Aurora with a kiss, and their wedding is celebrated with a grand divertissement.
