Synopsis
In 1590s London, the struggling playwright Nick Bottom is overshadowed by the rock-star success of William Shakespeare. Desperate for a hit, Nick consults a soothsayer who predicts the future of theater, musicals, and Nick attempts to write the world's first musical. The result is a hilariously anachronistic love letter to Broadway, Shakespeare, and the eternal struggle of artists competing with genius.
