The Dance of Death

An army captain and his wife Alice are trapped in a poisonous marriage on a remote island fortress, where twenty-five years of mutual hatred have become a savage ritual. When Alice's cousin Kurt visits, both spouses attempt to use him as a weapon against the other. Strindberg's dark comedy portrays marriage as a battle to the death, where the fighters are too bound together to ever truly separate.
