Three women in different eras are connected by Virginia Woolf's novel Mrs Dalloway. In 1923, Woolf herself struggles with depression while writing the book; in 1949, Laura Brown, a stifled housewife, reads it and contemplates escape; in 2001, Clarissa Vaughan organizes a party for her dying friend Richard. Their parallel stories explore the search for meaning, the weight of time, and the courage required to choose life.
