Kurt Weill Foundation for Music
The Lotte Lenya Competition is an annual singing competition established in 1998 by the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music to honor the centenary of Lotte Lenya's birth. It is a one-of-a-kind contest that requires demonstration of both acting and vocal skills, celebrating talented singing actors of all nationalities who can perform across the dynamic landscape of lyric theater. The competition challenges singers to present fully enacted, idiomatic performances of a wide range of repertoire from opera to Broadway.
Open to singing actors of all nationalities aged 19-32 who can demonstrate both acting and vocal skills across lyric theater repertoire.
