The 4th MusicON International Composition Competition

MusicON International Composition Competition 2026 Founded in 2017, Mayflower Art Center presents the 4th MusicON International Composition Competition (est. 2022). Finalist works will be premiered in New York. Host: Mayflower Art Center Organizer: MusicON Chamber Orchestra Jury: Wang Lu (Brown University), Felipe Lara (Peabody Institute) Open to composers under 30 (born after April 1, 1996), regardless of nationality. Submit one original work (composed after 2023), 5–8 minutes, for 2–6 performers using designated acoustic instruments (no electronics). Anonymous score required. Works must be unpublished, unperformed, and unawarded. Materials: PDF score, photo, ID/passport Fee: $25 Deadline: July 31, 2026 (12 PM ET) 4–6 finalists will be selected and performed in New York (Oct 3–4, 2026). Prizes: $2000 (18+ Winner), $500 (18+ HM), $1000 (Under 18 Winner) Results announced before Aug 10, 2026 at musiconchamberorchestra.org.
