School of American Ballet
The School of American Ballet (SAB) is the preeminent ballet school in the United States, founded by George Balanchine in 1934. SAB trains talented dancers from diverse backgrounds for professional careers in ballet while enriching the life of every student. The school offers world-renowned classical ballet training programs for ages 6-18, summer programs, community auditions, one-day workshops, and specialized programs including student choreography initiatives. SAB has trained more dancers for careers in professional ballet than any other US school, with alumni comprising more than 95% of New York City Ballet and filling ranks of companies across the US and around the world.
