The Avery Fisher Career Grant is one of the most prestigious awards in American classical music, presented annually by Lincoln Center to outstanding young American instrumentalists who have demonstrated exceptional talent and are at the start of their professional careers. Recipients are identified by a special committee; there is no application process. The award provides unrestricted funds to support the development and advancement of the recipient's career.
Open exclusively to American classical instrumentalists in the early stages of their professional careers. Selection is made by invitation only — there is no public application process. Recipients must be at the beginning of their international career.
