National Endowment for the Arts
Challenge America provides fixed $10,000 grants to small arts organizations for projects that extend the reach of the arts to underserved groups and communities. The program is limited to organizations with operating budgets under $250,000 and requires that proposed projects specifically focus on activities for underserved populations defined by geography, ethnicity, economic status, or disability.
U.S. nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, units of state/local government, or federally recognized tribal communities with operating budgets under $250,000 and a minimum of 5 years of arts programming history are eligible. Projects must specifically focus on underserved groups and communities.
