Acoustics

ABT performs at two Lincoln Center venues with different acoustic profiles: the Metropolitan Opera House offers warm, resonant sound ideal for orchestral accompaniment, while the David H. Koch Theater provides clear, balanced acoustics specifically designed for dance performances.

Best Seats

At Metropolitan Opera House: Orchestra rows H-T, Grand Tier rows A-F, and Dress Circle rows A-C offer optimal sightlines. At David H. Koch Theater: Orchestra mid-to-front rows and First Ring rows A-D provide comprehensive views of choreography and stage design. Avoid extreme side seats in both venues.

Book online. Rooms range from small vocal practice rooms ($15/hr) to large audition rooms. The bulletin board in the lobby has coaching, apartment, and gig listings.
Ripley-Grier Studios
Slightly cheaper than Nola. Good pianos. The 17th floor has the best views.
St. Paul the Apostle Church
Ask at the office about hourly practice room availability. Small donation requested. The sanctuary has extraordinary acoustics.
