One of Broadway's most intimate houses, the Booth is a jewel box theatre named for the great 19th-century actor Edwin Booth. Its 766 seats create an unusually close connection between performer and audience, making it ideal for plays.
Acoustics, seating, and what to expect
The intimate 766-seat venue naturally supports clear acoustics, particularly for spoken word and dramatic productions. Orchestra level seating provides immersive sound due to proximity to the stage, while Mezzanine offers clear acoustics with comprehensive sightlines.
Center Orchestra rows A-H offer excellent detail and comprehensive views, with rows A-D particularly exceptional. Center Front Mezzanine rows A-B provide impressive overhead perspectives of the entire stage. Avoid extreme side sections and far back rows which have partial views and limited legroom.
