Les Grands Ballets Canadiens

Founded in 1957 by Ludmilla Chiriaeff, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal is one of Canada's three major ballet companies and a pillar of Québec's cultural identity. The company has forged a distinctive path, emphasizing contemporary creation alongside classical repertoire and pioneering dance-therapy programs through its National Centre for Dance Therapy. Performing primarily at Place des Arts, Les Grands Ballets brings a uniquely Francophone sensibility to North American dance. Its annual Nutcracker remains one of Montreal's most beloved holiday traditions.
