Hawaii Symphony Orchestra

The Hawaii Symphony Orchestra is the only full-size professional orchestra in the Pacific Islands, bringing symphonic music to the culturally rich crossroads of Honolulu. Reorganized in 2012 after the closure of the former Honolulu Symphony, the HSO performs at the Blaisdell Concert Hall and has rapidly rebuilt a loyal following with programming that honors both the Western classical tradition and the unique cultural landscape of the Hawaiian Islands. Its existence represents a remarkable commitment to orchestral music in one of the world's most geographically isolated major cities.
