Manhattan Theatre Club is one of the most important nonprofit theater companies in America, dedicated to developing and producing new plays and musicals. Founded in 1970, MTC operates two stages — its Broadway home at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and an Off-Broadway space at New York City Center. The company has premiered works by some of the most significant American playwrights of the past half-century and has earned multiple Tony Awards.
