MCC Theater is one of New York's most vital Off-Broadway companies, dedicated to producing provocative new work by some of the most exciting voices in contemporary American theater. Founded in 1986, MCC has premiered plays and musicals that have gone on to Broadway transfers, Pulitzer Prizes, and Tony Awards. The company opened a purpose-built home in Hell's Kitchen in 2019, featuring two flexible performance spaces. MCC's artist-first ethos and willingness to take creative risks have earned it an outsized influence on the national theatrical conversation.
