Founded in 1985 by Edward Villella, a former principal dancer with New York City Ballet, Miami City Ballet was built on the Balanchine tradition and has grown into one of the finest ballet companies in the southeastern United States. The company performs across South Florida, with its primary home at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Its dancers are prized for their speed, musicality, and neoclassical elegance. Miami City Ballet brings world-class dance to a cosmopolitan metropolis where Latin, Caribbean, and American cultures converge.
