The main entrance faces West 55th Street. The building's distinctive Moorish Revival facade is unmistakable—look for the ornate arches and decorative tilework. Street-level entry is straightforward from the sidewalk.

City Center's bars and lobby spaces can become crowded during intermission, particularly for popular productions. Arrive early to secure a drink. The lobby itself is spacious and allows for comfortable standing room. If the venue is at capacity, stepping outside onto 55th Street provides breathing room and a chance to reset.

Public Transit

The A, C, and E subway lines serve the 59th Street–Columbus Circle station (three blocks north). The N, R, and W lines serve the 57th Street station (two blocks south). The 1, 2, and 3 lines serve the 59th Street station (also three blocks north). Most convenient: the A/C/E at 59th Street–Columbus Circle, a five-minute walk south on Broadway or Amsterdam Avenue.

Parking

Street parking in Midtown is scarce and metered. The nearest commercial garages are on 56th Street (one block north) and 54th Street (one block south), typically $15–25 for evening performances. Valet services may be available; contact the box office. Walking distance from the Theater District makes ride-share drop-off practical—use the 55th Street entrance.
