Book practice rooms through the Conservatorium's front office or online. Rates vary; professional visiting musicians are accommodated when schedule permits. The proximity to the Opera House (5 min walk) makes the Conservatorium the natural warm-up and coaching location for Opera Australia principal artists. The garden between the Con and the Opera House is one of Sydney's finest walking routes.

NIDA is not in the arts district — Kensington is 6km south of the CBD, served by bus from Circular Quay and the CBD. For visiting performers needing a rehearsal space away from the performance venues, NIDA offers professional-standard rooms.
