Synopsis
Set during the French Revolution, the people of Marseille march to Paris to storm the Tuileries Palace and overthrow the aristocracy. The young lovers Jeanne and Philippe are swept up in the revolutionary fervor, facing danger from both royalist soldiers and the chaos of the uprising. The ballet climaxes with the storming of the palace and a grand celebration of liberty.
