Synopsis
King Arthur and the Saxon king Oswald battle for control of Britain and for the love of the blind princess Emmeline. The sorcerer Osmond, serving Oswald, creates enchantments to thwart Arthur, while Merlin's counter-magic aids the British cause. Arthur resists temptation in the Frost Scene, defeats the Saxons, and Emmeline's sight is restored as the lovers unite and Britannia is celebrated.
