Samson et Dalila tells the biblical story of the Hebrew judge Samson, whose supernatural strength derives from his uncut hair. The Philistines, oppressed by Samson's power, conspire with the seductive Dalila to discover the source of his invincibility. Torn between his love for Dalila and his duty to his people, Samson succumbs to her charms and reveals his secret. Betrayed and captured, he is blinded and imprisoned. In a final act of redemption, Samson's hair grows back, restoring his strength. Called to perform before the Philistine court, he brings down the temple, destroying his enemies and sacrificing himself in a cataclysmic finale that affirms both his faith and his tragic heroism.
