Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army, enjoys high regard and has recently married Desdemona, a Venetian noblewoman. His ensign Iago, consumed by jealousy and resentment, orchestrates an elaborate scheme to convince Othello that Desdemona has been unfaithful with Cassio, Othello's lieutenant. Through manipulation, planted evidence, and poisonous insinuation, Iago systematically erodes Othello's trust and reason. As jealousy consumes him, Othello transforms from a respected leader into a man driven by rage and suspicion. The tragedy culminates in devastating consequences as Othello's inability to see beyond Iago's deceptions leads to irreversible destruction, exploring themes of racism, manipulation, jealousy, and the fragility of reputation.
