Synopsis
The huntress nymph Sylvia, a follower of Diana, is kidnapped by the dark hunter Orion. Her beloved shepherd Aminta, aided by Eros, must rescue her. Delibes' ballet score, which Tchaikovsky greatly admired, weaves pastoral beauty with dramatic adventure.
